Gran Desfile de Carnaval

Yesterday brought an unexpected pleasure.

This evening brought the carnival procession; a mix of professional spectacle from Madrid, France and Germany, community arts groups, and international community groups from Bolivia, Brazil, Bolivia, the Dominican Repuplic, and.... Bolivia. Great fun. Lots of fuzzy photos with the new camera, and only one remotely presentable, I'm afraid.

I wish this photo was bigger - or that our pics were clear! but there are more wonderful giant puppets at Calamantran.

I managed to get into the spirit of the occasion!
Ja ja ja! Scary, hm?

Tomorrow, we're heading for Plaza Mayor to watch Doctor Carne get thrashed by Lady Lent.

The camera batteries are charging, and I'm reading the manual....
